Everyone wanted to know what this amazing delicate flower was.

It really looks great in a pot!Town Mousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09777461911856383480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316581347076542906.post-15714513618116190862010-03-05T18:20:08.239-08:002010-03-05T18:20:08.239-08:00WAIT! Looked it up after Brad's query and found that the entire plant is poisonous unless the roots or seeds are boiled twice, changing the water each time. Still can't figure out what it tastes like, but please take all precautions before eating it!!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07938196559124125578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316581347076542906.post-79953097182375110242010-03-05T18:15:31.054-08:002010-03-05T18:15:31.054-08:00I've been too busy enjoying my plant to attemp...I've been too busy enjoying my plant to attempt to eat it, but I should try it someday! I agree that it's a great little plant. I planted a couple many years ago and they reseeded themselves lightly around the garden--nothing obnoxious. I still have one reliable plant, 15+ years later, though now it's not reseeding anymore. I wonder if it needs two to be fertile?lostlandscape (James)http://soenyun.com/Blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6316581347076542906.post-42854827135922021532010-03-04T21:10:53.943-08:002010-03-04T21:10:53.943-08:00I had no idea the seeds were edible (well a spice ...I had no idea the seeds were edible (well a spice anyway). They are a bit exposed where they are - I need to plant a few more bunch grasses around them. I love buttercups! though I'm more used to the ones I saw in the UK as a child. Hold the flower under your chin, and if you see yellow on your chin (reflected light), it means you like butter.Country Mousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13294472166693008328noreply@blogger.com
